BRATTLEBORO -- On Friday, the Pliny Park Summer Concert Series presents a split bill with the two Michaels -- Michael Mario and Michael Hertz.
Mario plays music drawing from the folk and gospel traditions, with a healthy dose of favorite old pop tunes thrown in, featuring lots of 12-string guitar.
Hertz is a veteran fingerpicker and recently played at the Roots on the River Festival in Bellows Falls. He plays mostly acoustic blues and ragtime, covering songs by his favorite country bluesmen like Mississippi John Hurt, Rev. Gary Davis and Blind Blake.
The music runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Stop by for a listen, or bring a lawn chair and stay for a while.
