WILMINGTON -- On Saturday, MHCA, formerly Memorial Hall Center for the Arts, will present the Village Light Opera Group at Memorial Hall, at 7:30 p.m.
General admission seating for the floor is $25 for adults, $17 for students through high school, and for the balcony is $20 for adults, $14 for students through high school. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. The proceeds of this concert will benefit MHCA and the Village Light Opera Group.
Formed in 1935 by a group of residents of New York’s Greenwich Village, the Village Light Opera Group still attracts passionate and talented amateurs who sing for the love of it. The show typically includes more than 30 song selections from Broadway musicals, Gilbert & Sullivan, operas and more.
MHCA is operating this year without a formal box office. For a listing of events and a form for ordering tickets by mail, visit memhall.org. Calendars and order forms are also available at the Mountaineer Inn, Handle Road, West Dover and at the Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce, Main Street, Wilmington.
Patrons may also order tickets by calling 802-464-8411 and leaving a message including all the information on the order form, or by leaving their name and phone number, and a person will return the call within 24 hours.
Tickets will also be available at the door, by cash or check only, beginning at 6:45 p.m.
