BELLOWS FALLS -- Audrey Auld, the Australian sweetheart via Nashville, kicks off the Readmore Concert Series on Friday at 7:30 p.m., presented by Vermont Festivals LLC.
Experience this unplugged acoustic presentation in an intimate and luxurious Victorian showplace at 1 Hapgood St.
Devils aren’t the only thing to come from Tasmania. Singer-songwriter Auld is a funny entertainer, a heartfelt singer and writes songs with mood and feeling. Auld’s heart is in country, folk and Americana music with a presence as big as The Outback. Her songs are the wry and poignant observations of a Tassie girl living in California and Nashville since 2003. Auld calls it "Music with the dirt left on."
"Resurrection Moon" is Auld’s 2012 release, a retrospective of favorite songs from the last decade, plus two new tracks recorded in Nashville. To celebrate Woody Guthrie’s 100th birthday this past summer, Auld created a hand-made acoustic five-track CD, "Wood."
Tickets are $15. Advance tickets are available at Village Square Booksellers or brattleborotix.com. There are "Angel" tickets with priority seating for $25. For information, call 802-463-9415 or e-mail email@example.com.
