WALPOLE, N.H. -- The Walpole Artisans host their 10th annual Open Studio Tour, Friday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The starting point of the tour will be the Walpole Artisans Cooperative Gallery at 52 Main St., across from Burdick’s Restaurant. The Artisans will be featuring a raffle give-away with two $25 gift certificates as prizes for merchandise at the cooperative. Pick up a map and start the Artisan Tour there.

The 10th annual Walpole Artisan Tour will feature "hub" locations at: David Howell’s studio on Old Keene Road; Bill Shannon’s studio on Barnett Hill Road; Bob Taylor Welding in Alstead; as well as 33 Bridge St. in Bellows Falls, Vt., the location of the Sherwin Art Glass Studio & Gallery, where several artists will exhibit their work. Two new artisans joining us this year: Alan Palmer, who works with graphite, and Randy Hicks, a "chip carver" in wood. Come experience art in all its diversity during the 10th Annual Walpole Artisan Tour. Follow the map and signs to the artisans’ exhibiting locations.

The artisans will be available to discuss their work, and some will demonstrate throughout the tour -- Chris Sherwin will do hot glass demonstrations; Randy Hicks will do his chip carving; and Joe Beer will paint at 33 Bridge St. There will also be paintings, photography, metal and wood sculpture, pottery, hand-sculpted and blown glass, fabrics, furniture, textile art, handmade cards, jewelry and more.
