BRATTLEBORO -- Brattleboro Community Television announces its winter 2013 video production workshops.

* Single Camera Field Production, which meets Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 16 and 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. Instructor is Frederic Noyes. With the focus on BCTV’s flagship camera, the Sony Z5U, and also on lightweight Canon Vixia camcorders, this introductory course offers a full dose of hands-on instruction. The workshop provides a balance of technical and storytelling knowledge. Includes instruction on tripod use, basic audio and lighting.
* Introduction to Digital Editing with Final Cut Pro meets Saturday, Jan. 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Instructor is Roland Boyden. This one day intensive workshop includes plenty of hands-on learning with class designed to foster fundamental editing skills as well as the storytelling components of assembling a project. Class will cover capturing footage, cutting and adding transitions, special effects, titles and audio tracks. No footage or previous editing projects required.
* Advanced Editing with Final Cut Pro meets Saturday, Jan. 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Instructor is Roland Boyden. This one day intensive workshop will focus on advanced editing techniques with Final Cut Pro 7. Master the complete tool palette, learn to utilize color correction filters, chroma keying, audio editing tips and tricks and more. The final hour will be free form so bring questions.
* Post-Post Production Workshop meets Saturday, March 2. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Instructor is Roland Boyden. In the old days you might have printed your finished video to DV tape or even sent it off to be developed back to film, but these days once you’ve finished a project the distribution possibilities are endless.
