This performance is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Marlboro College marketing and communication office at 802-251-7644 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Charles Weidman’s "Lynchtown" (1936) is recognized as one of the classic works of American modern dance and a prime example of dance as a medium for socio-political expression and protest. "Lynchtown" was created by Weidman in response to witnessing a lynching in his home community of Lincoln, Neb., as a child at the turn of the century.
Huang’s interests in robots and his focus on the pure choreographic human form won him a place in 2011 among the world’s "25 to Watch" in Dance Magazine. For more information, visit www.nimbusdanceworks.org.
