Concert Choir starting work on Fauré Requiem

BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Concert Choir will begin rehearsals for spring performances of the Faure Requiem on Wednesday, Feb. 27. This, as well as the Te Deum of Charpentier, will be presented with full orchestra at Marlboro College on June 21 and 22.

Women’s Chorus hosts March 6 Open Sing

WEST BRATTLEBORO -- The spring session of the Brattleboro Women’s Chorus begins on March 6 with an Open Sing from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at All Souls Church as an opportunity to join or to try out the chorus without obligation. All women are invited, including girls age 10 and up with their mothers or other adult female companions.

The chorus will meet every Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., at All Souls Church. The session will culminate in two concerts on Mothers’ Day weekend accompanied by the local group Kestrel, with one concert in Grafton and one in Brattleboro.

There are no auditions, and the ability to read music is not necessary. Financial aid is available, as well as price breaks for mothers and daughters (or other family combinations) and for students ages 15-25.
