Main Street Arts and the Saxtons River Historical Society are again pairing for a series of Fireside Chats to highlight the area's history Sundays in January from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. in the dining room of the Saxtons River Inn. The series begins Jan. 10 with a session entitled Chairs, Tables and Cabinets: On the Prowl for Early Vermont Furniture, led by William Hosley, a cultural resource development and marketing consultant, social media expert, historian, writer, and photographer. Hosley describes himself as a "passionate pursuer of art, architecture and local history." By the age of 25, he had visited – camera in hand – all 251 towns in Vermont. He will share some of his finds, including some from the Saxtons River area.

This is offered at no charge, with donations accepted. Those attending are invited to bring their own memories in this informal setting. In case of inclement weather, cancellation information available by contacting Main Street Arts at 802-869-2960.
