Celebrate Shakespeare Day this April by taking part in a staged reading of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Rockingham Free Public Library. A staged reading is a seated dramatic performance with a cast of actors. There are parts available for both men and women; teens and adults are invited to participate.

The reading will be taking place on Saturday, April 23, 2 p.m. at the Rockingham Free Public Library. April 23 is recognized as Shakespeare Day because it's believed by some to be his birth date. However, no one really knows the exact date of William Shakespeare's birth because birth dates were generally not recorded in his time; he was baptized on April 26, 1564, and died on April 23, 1616.

For more information and to learn how you can participate in the performance, call 802-463-4270, email youthservices@rockinghamlibrary.org, or online to rockinghamlibrary.org, or stop by the Library at 65 Westminster St, Bellows Falls.
