STOWE >> Stowe Story Labs and the Vermont International Film Foundation (VTIFF) announce continued partnership for 2016 and open the application process for Stowe Story Labs 4-day September workshop for all VTIFF members. In addition,all VTIFF applicants will be considered for the VTIFF/Stowe Story Labs Fellowship. One fellowship will be awarded and provide an opportunity for a Vermont based emerging screenwriter,filmmaker or creative producer to attend the labs.
The successful applicant for the VTIFF fellowship to this Fall's narrative Lab will have fees waived to the four-day series of workshops in Stowe, a $1250 value. The Fellow will receive a free copy of Final Draft 9, the newest version of the industry-standard screenwriting software, as well as other benefits.
"We are pleased to be offering a fellowship again to the fall Stowe Story Labs," said VTIFF Executive Director Orly Yadin. "The Labs not only help emerging screenwriters hone their craft but, as importantly, bring them in contact with the international independent film community," said Yadin. This partnership is yet another way for us to enhance the Vermont Filmmakers' Showcase.
The non-profit Stowe Story Labs runs Labs and Retreats in Stowe for emerging screenwriters, filmmakers and creative producers from around the world. The vision of Stowe Story Labs is to bring emerging talent together with top industry mentors with the aim of getting good work made and seen. VTIFF is a Vermont-based foundation dedicated to the cinematic arts and supporting Vermont-based filmmakers and screenwriters in pursuing their craft.
