The Vermont Theatre Company presents William Shakespeare's "All's Well That Ends Well" for its 27th annual Shakespeare in the Park production on June 23, 24, 25, and 26 at 6 p.m. on the Rotary Stage in Brattleboro's Living Memorial Park. Admission is $6. Reservations are not necessary.
"All's Well that Ends Well" is the unconventionally beautiful, complicated, and comically backward fairy-tale of Helena de Narbon. A brilliant, beautiful, and passionate daughter of a renowned physicia, Helena suffers the curse of loving above her social station. Count Bertram of Roussillon, a young French nobleman and the object of Helena's affection, would rather abscond to foreign battlefields for a soldierly life than bore himself with marriage. With the help of her abundant wit and a little magic, Helena pursues her reluctant groom into Italy, where she hatches a plan to win his respect and affection.
Watch a young medieval woman win her prince—and the day, and enjoy a good laugh.
