Grafton >> Hunter Gallery of Fine Art in Grafton will hold its annual "Meet the Artists" reception on Saturday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at its gallery.
It is the season's opening reception to present the works of Hunter's exhibiting artists and three new artists.
For the past 10 years the gallery has featured the "new" efforts each year of its 13 artists from the New England area. This year it has added pottery and glassworks to the venue. The artistic media ranges from watercolors to bronze sculptures and is presented in three gallery areas.
Among the Vermont artists who will be exhibiting their works this season are: Jane Ashley, muted landscapes in oils; Gary Eckhart, landscapes and still life in watercolors; Ailyn Hoey, woodlands in charcoals; Charlie Hunter, rural and industrial motifs in oils; Peter Jeziorski, sea and landscapes in watercolors; Robert J. O'Brien, floral and architectural realism in watercolors: Robert Sydorowich, colorful impressionist oils; and Eric Tobin, shadow and light landscapes in oils.
From New Hampshire, Robin Frisella will return with her latest still life pastels, and a new artist Josee Severino will display her animal portraits in pastels. From Maine Jennifer Litchfield presents her newest oils and Tom Raymond shows with his newest wood creations.
Also returning this year is the equine bronze sculptures of Nancy Weimer Belden, and the glass creations of David Ferrier.
The other two new artists include Mike Verhoeks, a former New Hampshire resident and potter, who will exhibit his crystal-glazed vases and bottles, and Andrew Weill of Manchester, Vt., who is well-known for his whimsical glass creations.
