Pianist Miro Sprague is special guest at jazz soiree.

GUILFORD >> Wendy Redlinger's Jazz Soiree will present the Bob Stabach 4tet with special guest pianist Miro Sprague on Thursday, Aug. 4 at 7 p.m.. at 2596 Tater Lane in Guilford, Miro is a jazz pianist, composer and bandleader known for his dynamic performance and inspiring creativity. A graduate of the Manhatten school on Music and the Theolonius Monk Institute of Jazz Performance, he toured the United States, Europe, and Japan and has performed with Greg Osby, Jerry Bergonzi, Matt Wilson, Adam Cruz, Linda Oh, Sheila Jordan and Reggie Workman among others.

In 2012 he was selected to attend to attend the Theolonius Monk Institute of Jazz Performance at UCLA, a prestigious, tuition-free jazz masters program that acceps one ensemble of musicians for each annual class. While at the Institute, Miro had the opportunity to study with many of the world's great musician including Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter Ron Carter Billy Childs, James Newton, Dave Leibman and Hall Cook among others. Miro was a semifinalist in the 2015 Montreaux Jazz Festival Piano competition and recently released his fourth studio album "Blue Dreaming".

The Quartet will be joined by the 20 year veteran of New York City jazz scene, George Kaye, bass, and the sparkling, first call Pioneer Valley drummer, Jon Fisher. Bob Stabach leads this distinguished group of musicians with his sonorous and seasoned sax sound.


The Quartet will journey to the European ECM Records catalog with it's distinguishing style and sensibility as well as revisit some timeless American Jazz classics. The Quartet will also feature some imaginative and creative originals and maybe even a world premiere.
