Long time regional guitarist Draa Hobbs has put together a stellar group to accompany premiere jazz vocalist Kendra Shank, including special guest Rich Greenblatt from Boston's acclaimed Berklee College of Music; bassist Wayne Roberts; and drummer Claire Arenius.
Guitarist Hobbs has been active throughout New England for many years, performing with a wide variety of regional and Internationally recognized musicians including saxophonist Jed Levy, vocalist Kevin Mahogany, guitarists John Stowell, Vic Juris, Attila Zoller, Peter Bernstein, and pianist Don Friedman.
Kendra Shank combines jazz originals, standards, world music, French songs, folk/pop tunes, and open improvisation in an adventurous, genre-bending style that inspired Gary Giddins to call her "one of New York's most original performers." (Jazz Times).
Special Guest Vibraphonist Rich Greenblatt is a professor of music at Berklee College. Rich has played in jazz and blues festivals in the U.S. and Europe and recorded with The Be-Bop Guitars, The Jazz Composers' Alliance, and the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra.
Juilliard trained acoustic bassist Wayne Roberts has been a mainstay on the New York Jazz scene for many years.
Drummer/composer/educator Claire Arenius has been performing in jazz and improvisational music for more than thirty years.
