CLINTON, N.Y. -- Martin M. Cain, son of Nancy and Thomas Cain of Marlboro, Vt., and a senior at Hamilton College, has been awarded an Emerson Summer Collaborative Research grant to conduct research with a Hamilton faculty member this summer. Cain is working with Professor of English Onno Oerlemanns on a project titled "The Real is Surreal: Reinterpreting the Poetic Pastoral."
Cain, a creative writing major at Hamilton, is a graduate of Brattleboro (Vt.) Union High School.
