BRATTLEBORO -- The Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary No. 2445 will meet on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m. at the club home, 54 Chickering Drive, Brattleboro. All members are welcome.

Newfane Garden Club

NEWFANE -- The Newfane Garden Club will meet on Thursday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m. in the Crowell Gallery at Moore Free Library on West Street in Newfane. The meeting was moved from the Newfane Congregational Church due to construction at the church. Following the business meeting, the program will be "Bees in the Garden" presented by Erin Hunter.

Hunter is a local beekeeper and she will discuss which plants attract bees to gardens, the process of pollination, and the making of honey. She will also demonstrate how different flowers impact the taste of bee pollen and honey.

The hostesses for the meeting will be Dee Dee Garofalo and Joyce Orgera. Guests are encouraged to attend.
