CHOCORUA, N.H. -- April Megan O’Leary of Everett, Mass., daughter of Michael and DeDe O’Leary of Everett, was married to Andrew Jacob George of Brattleboro, Vt., on July 7, 2012 in Chocorua. He is the son of Valerie George of Brattleboro and Philip George of Alstead.

The 4:30 p.m. ceremony was held at the Chocorua Community Church and was co-officiated by Pastor Kent Schneider and Pastor Louis George, the bridegroom’s grandfather. For her entry into the church the bride’s cousin, Jeff Burrell, played the Highland March on the bagpipes.

Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at the Brass Heart Inn in Chocorua.

The maids of honor are sisters who have been lifelong friends of the bride, Sara Murphy and Nicole Murphy of Arlington, Mass.

Bridesmaids were Jessica Callen of Everett, Mass., Alicia Hooper-Thompson of Portland, Maine, Dawn Dennis DeVeau (bride’s cousin) of Billerica, Mass., Whitney Tostenson of Claremont, Robyn Michelle Raymond of Rumford, Maine, Adrianne Merritt of Lubbock, Texas, and Rebecca Simmons of Portland, all friends of the bride.

Best men were Thomas Cook of Ottisfield, Maine, and Naty Twelde of Atlanta, Ga., both friends of the bridegroom. Serving as ushers were Jeremy Sauter of Brattleboro, the bridegroom’s brother; Michael O’Leary of Everett, the bride’s brother; Corey Cribby of Portland and LT Brett Gardner of Phoenix, Ariz.,

both friends of the bridegroom; and John Mondi and Alex Mondi, both of Las Vegas and the bride’s cousins.

In following military tradition upon exiting the church the newlyweds walked under crossed sabers where the bride was stopped and she received the time honored welcome into the military.

The saber bearers were: 2LT Brett Gardner; 2LT Michael Stansfield of Portland, 2LT Craig Gibson of Pittsfield, Maine; 2LT Jonathan Bratten of Portland; Cadet Christopher Bouchard of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; and SP4 Terrance Sanborn of Hollis, Maine.

Ring bearer was Mason Anthony Sauter of Brattleboro, the bridegroom’s nephew.

The bride was given in marriage by both her parents.

The bride graduated from the University of Southern Maine in May 2012 with a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration and Marketing.

The bridegroom graduated cum laude from the University of New England in 2011 with a bachelor of arts degree in Psychology. While attending UNE he was also a member of the University of New Hampshire ROTC program, obtaining the rank of 2nd Lieutenant upon graduation. He is currently employed by Providence Service Corporation as a behavioral health professional, as well as serving in the U.S. Army Reserves with the 338th Minimal Care Detachment in Narragansett, R.I., where he is the Executive Officer.

After a wedding trip in Key West, the couple will live in Portland.
