AARP, Brattleboro Chapter
BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Chapter No. 763 of AARP is sponsoring a bus trip to see the Women of Ireland at the Venus de Milo in Swansea, Mass., on March 15.
Women of Ireland, comprised of the best performers within the Irish musical tradition, will transport the audience to their homeland of Ireland.
To sign up for this trip, send a check for $92.70 to Bernice Murdock at 166 Morningside Commons, Brattleboro, VT 05301. Also, indicate your meal choice of either corned beef and cabbage or baked haddock.
Newfane Garden Club
NEWFANE -- The Newfane Garden Club will hold its January meeting at the Newfane Congregational Church on Thursday, Jan. 17, at noon. Members are asked to bring a sandwich. Beverages and dessert will be provided.
Following a business meeting and lunch, a workshop on tray favors will be held. Members will be making February tray favors that will be delivered to patients at Grace Cottage Hospital.
Hostesses for this meeting will be Winnie Dolan and Betty Horton. Guests are welcome to attend.
Brattleboro Camera Club
BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Camera Club will meet Monday, Jan. 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Brooks Memorial Library, 224 Main St.
Photographer and critic Art Vaughan will review color prints from the New England Camera Club Council’s annual competition. NECCC, the regional organization of camera clubs, is a long-established sponsor of competitions and educational programs.
In addition, club members will bring prints for comments and review. There is no charge for this program and the public is invited to attend.
Evening Star Grange
BRATTLEBORO -- Evening Star Grange No. 154 will hold its annual dues-paying potluck supper prior to the meeting on Monday, Jan. 14, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Grange Hall in Dummerston.
Members are asked to bring a main dish, or salad, dessert and drinks will be provided. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and the Lecturer’s Program is "Reflections."
