Brattleboro

-- On Feb. 13, the Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle on Western Avenue. During a roadside investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Kristin M. Smith, 39, of Brattleboro, was found to be operating her vehicle with a criminally suspended license. She was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- On Feb. 16, members of the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Joshua Defelice, 31, of Brattleboro and charged him with driving with a criminally suspended license. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

Dover

-- On Feb. 17, a deputy with the Windham County Sheriff’s Department arrested Robert Mascaro, 23, of Palmer, Mass., for driving under the influence of alcohol. Mascaro was stopped at the intersection of Mountainview Loop and Route 100 as part of the Southern Vermont DUI Task Force. He was ordered to appear in court on March 4.

Dummerston

-- On Feb. 8, the Vermont State Police responded to the intersection of Middle Road and Houghton Road for the report of a two-vehicle accident. According to police, Akara Draper, 61, of Dummerston, was traveling south on Middle Road when she lost control of her vehicle going around a curve. Her vehicle slid into the left front bumper/fender of a vehicle being driven north by Virginia Carter, 71, also of Dummerston. Neither driver was injured in the crash, but both vehicles were towed from the scene. Draper was issued a written warning for operating at a speed too great for existing conditions.

-- On Feb. 10. the Vermont State Police responded to Middle Road for the report of a single-vehicle accident. According to police, Christine Smigel, 21, of Stratford, Conn., was traveling north on Middle Road when she lost control of her vehicle due to slippery road conditions. Her vehicle went off the side of the road and traveled down a steep embankment before coming to a stop. Police said Smigel was not injured in the accident. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.

Jamaica

-- On Feb. 17, the Vermont State Police arrested Stephen R. Sisson, 23, of Ballston Spa, N.Y., for driving under the influence while traveling south on Route 30. He was ordered to appear in court on March 4.

Londonderry

-- On Feb. 11, the Vermont State Police responded to Middletown Road for the report of a two-vehicle accident. According to police, a vehicle being driven by Caleb Meagher, 19, of Weston, collided with a vehicle being driven by Bennett Sikes, 21, of Londonderry. There were no injuries as a result of the accident.

-- On Feb. 11, the Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle on Route 11 for a broken rear tail light. During the stop, Robert A. Young, 33, of Londonderry was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also found to be driving with a criminally suspended license and to be in violation of his conditions of release. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.

Vernon

-- On Feb. 16, the Vermont State Police responded to milemarker 3 of northbound I-91 for the report of a single-vehicle accident. According to police, Kellie Fisher, 30, of Lebanon, N.H., was traveling north on the highway when she hit some slush and lost control of her vehicle. She slid across the highway and onto the median where she struck a delineator post. Fisher was not injured in the crash, but was issued a written warning for failing to maintain control of her vehicle.
