WESTMINSTER -- Timothy Jones has been named the February Elks Student of the Month for Bellows Falls Union High School. Jones, a junior, is the son of Peter and Donna Jones of Rockingham.
Jones is a dedicated, independent learner who takes challenging classes. He comes to school every day with a desire to learn not only through his classes but though life itself. Always willing to put the extra time in to see success, he comes for extra help when he has questions, is on task in class and completes all assignments by the due date. He has a positive attitude and a terrific work ethic. He is polite, friendly and generally a good role model to others. He is an asset to any class or group and he is a pleasure to work with. Not only does he come to events, class and music rehearsals prepared and on-time and ready to work, he is always willing to help others in any way he can.
As a well-rounded student, Jones is very involved in different aspects of the BFUHS community. In addition to working hard in his classes, he is actively and dedicatedly involved in the BFUHS sports program, the music program and Student Council. He has represented BFUHS on the cross country, track and basketball teams, and in the band. He is a talented saxophonist who volunteered to play the National Anthem at basketball games this past season. He will also be playing in the Discover Jazz Festival in Burlington in June. As co-president of the BFUHS
