Tri Town Collectors Club
BRATTLEBORO -- The Tri Town Collectors Club will host a Family Hobby Show on Saturday, May 11, at the Holiday Inn Express on Chickering Drive in Brattleboro from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Area coin, stamp, sports cards and comic book collectors are welcome.
Many dealers and collectors from the tri-state area meet monthly for a scholarship auction, coupled with a day-long series of hobby activities for the whole family.
Besides the usual offerings of coins, currency, stamps and sports cards, there will be a special quiz for collectors at the coin club table. Anyone reaching into the collectable grab bag and selecting a free Indian Head cent or Buffalo nickel will be able to double their prize if they can say who was president in the year the coin was minted.
The Indian Head cents were issued from 1859 until 1909 while the Buffalo nickels were released from 1913-1938. Other door prizes will be available.
The show continues on the second Saturday of each month. This month, there are vintage and modern comic books and a large presentation of collectable coins and stamps.
There is no admission charged. Anyone wishing to set up a card table to sell their material should call Joe Fuller at 802-297-1274.
