WESTMINSTER -- Timothy Jones has been named the Daughters of the American Revolution 2013 Good Citizen for Bellows Falls Union High School. Tim, a senior, is the son of Peter and Donna Jones of Rockingham.
Tim was chosen based on the following criterion: dependability (including truthfulness, loyalty and punctuality), service (including cooperation, courtesy and consideration of others), leadership (including personality, self-control and ability to assume responsibility) and patriotism (including unselfish interest in family, school, community and nation.)
Tim fits these characteristics well. Tim is very involved with a variety of aspects of BFUHS. A friendly, polite student who is always willing to offer a helping hand, Tim greets everyone with a warm smile and a friendly hello. Student government, the sports program, the musical and choral arts and class activities are part of his resumé from his time at BFUHS.
Tim is dedicated to his academic success, and takes his education seriously. An active member of any class or group, he is a pleasure to work with both in and out of the classroom. Tim challenges himself and often goes above and beyond the requirements of the assignments. Willing to lead in small groups and play an active role in class discussions, Tim is well spoken, insightful and offers a lot to class activities. He is a true leader in the classroom and someone that people can always count on.
Tim has been named one of the BFUHS Elks Students of the Month, has represented the school at a number of District Music Festivals, is an active, strong member of the musical program and is a member of the Marilee Huntoon Jesse A. Judd Chapter of the National Honor Society.
Tim is a true leader and a positive role model who leads by example. He has worked unselfishly to better the school and community and his work is greatly appreciated.
