BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Branch, American Association of University Women (AAUW), will be holding its annual book sale on Sept. 4-6 at Centre Congregational Church, 193 Main St., Brattleboro. The book sale, a feature of the Brattleboro summer season, attracts dealers and buyers from all over New England. This year, the book sale hours are Thursday, Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon.
All money raised will fund college scholarships for local girls and women. This year, three $1,000 scholarships were given to new high school graduates and one $1,000 scholarship was given to a mature woman continuing her education. The community supports this scholarship program by donating and buying books.
