BRATTLEBORO -- The Green Mountain Chapel will be host its annual missions conference from Sunday, Sept. 16, through Sunday, Sept. 23. This yearly event is an opportunity for members of the chapel and anyone interested to hear from some of their international workers about what they are presently involved in in their particular field of service. This year Lisa Nicky, one of the group’s hospitals in Mali, West Africa, and David Nagle now working in Irian Jaya will speak. A schedule of the week’s activities can be obtained by calling the Green Mountain Chapel at 802-254-5258.
The Green Mountain Chapel is a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. It is an evangelical movement seeking to share the gospel of Jesus Christ here at home and around the world. Currently there are workers and churches in over 70 countries who are involved in ministry training, church planting, and various aspects of humanitarian work. The relief arm, known as CAMA Services works in a number of areas helping with agricultural, medical, and self-sustaining business development.
The chapel is located at 480 Western Ave. in Brattleboro. All are welcome to attend these opportunities to hear what the C&MA is doing to share the love of Jesus around the world today. Information: Rev. Bill Steele, 802-245-5258.
