BRATTLEBORO -- Worship service on Sunday, Sept. 30, at First Baptist Church, 190 Main St., begins at 10 a.m. preceded by a coffee hour. The congregation will Pass the Peace and read in unison Psalm 124. A number of hymns and gospel songs will be sung, accompanied by Luella Frechette, organist.
Pastor Suzanne Andrews’ sermon will be "Peaks and Valleys," the story of the Transfiguration found in the Gospel of Mark, Chapter 9, versus 2-9.
The church will participate in the Empty Bowls dinner at Landmark College on Oct. 6 in memory of Melinda Bussino, a lifelong member of the church.
The following week on Oct. 13, the church will have a Harvest dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. to support local missions.
