BRATTLEBORO -- Worship on Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church will be a celebration of World Communion Sunday. Holy Communion will be celebrated. The scriptural selection is from Mark 10:2-16 where Jesus addresses questions about divorce and welcomes little children when others would send them away.
Pastor Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, "Bread for the World," will tie the scripture together with the World Communion celebration by considering the covenantal promises made to each other by virtue of living in the community together.

The church is located next to Renew Salvage at 18 Town Crier Drive off Putney Road, across from the Shell station and is handicapped accessible.
