NEWFANE -- The First Congregational Church of Newfane will welcome Mary N. Hawkes as guest pastor at the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Oct. 21. The sermon is "Who is Able to Run a World?" with Old Testament Scripture from the Book of Job, chapter 38, verses 1-7 and New Testament Scripture from Mark, chapter 10, verses 35-45.

Congregational hymns are "I Sing the Almighty Power of God," "God Is Here," and "Jesus Calls Us O’er the Tumult." The prelude "Andante" by Camille Saint-Saens and the postlude "Gothic Fragment" by Stewart Landon will be played by organist/music director, Martha LaMoria. The choir will sing the anthem "The Gift of Love" by Hal Hopson. The Sunday School lesson for this week is "Isaac and His Brother."
