VERNON -- Vernon Union Church and Pastor Jeffrey B. Tibbetts invites everyone to participate in a special NFL Sunday at Vernon Union Church on Oct. 21.
Everyone is welcome to "come as you are," but to those who wear an NFL jersey to worship a special, free gift will be given. The worship service will be followed by a chili cook-off in the fellowship hall.
Sunday includes prayer at 8:15 a.m. Sunday school at 9 a.m., with the adults continuing in their series on Finding Your Worth In Christ, and worship beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Tibbetts will be preaching a special message. "Welcome to the NFL." Following the chili cook-off, the church will be holding its annual meeting. Everyone is invited to stay and hear the State of the Union.
