WEST BRATTLEBORO -- Jan. 20 is the Third Sunday After Epiphany at First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 880 Western Ave. in West Brattleboro. The Rev. Joseph Amico’s sermon will be "What Makes a Church a Church" based on I Corinthians 12:12-31a. Pianist William McKim’s prelude will be "Intermezzo in D" by Brahms and postlude "Sonatina in D Minor" by Scarlatti.
The senior choir will sing the Spiritual "A Key to the Kingdom" arranged by Wilson. Congregational hymns will be "O God, in Whom All Life Begins," "God of Change and Glory" and "In Christ There is no East or West." Guitarist Jeff Brewer will play Gathering Music.
Sunday worship at First Congregational Church is at 10 a.m. During the January, February and part of March, worship will be in the church’s Fireplace Room. During the worship hour, there is Sunday School for pre-school through grade 6, and child care for younger children. Following worship there is a Fellowship Hour in the Fireplace Room.
