SAXTONS RIVER -- At services at Christ’s Church in Saxtons River on Sunday, May 5, at 10 a.m. the Rev. Roger Daly will reflect on what it means to be part of "The Body of Christ" during the "interim time."
His meditation, "Being the Body of Christ" is grounded in I Corinthians 12:12-27. The congregation will also be celebrating Holy Communion.
On Sunday, May 12, Mother’s Day, the Rev. Ivy Merrill of Keene, N.H., will be the guest minister. She has been a visiting pastor at Christ’s Church several times and has served both UCC and ABC congregations for the past 30 years.
On Sunday, May 19, "Our Church in the Eyes of Faith" will be Rev. Daly’s meditation and is based on Psalms 27:1, 5, 7-9 and Mark 8:14-21.
Memorial Sunday, May 26, will be "A Day for Remembering," especially people who have served and died "in harm’s way" and who in these days are in harm’s way. Rev. Daly’s meditation will be "The Healing of Remembrance" based on John 8:56-59.
There is coffee and conversation following every service. Christ’s Church is handicapped accessible and all are invited and welcome.
