DUMMERSTON -- Worship at the Dummerston Congregational Church on Sunday, Sept. 15, will begin at 9:30 a.m. The Scripture lessons for the day are Hebrews 13: 1-2, 5-6 and Luke 14:1, 7-14, and the sermon will be "Radical Hospitality." The Children’s Story will be "Patriarchs and Matriarchs," based on Genesis 25-30. Children begin in worship and then go to an open classroom under the direction of Billie Slade. The choir will sing. Music leadership will be provided by the Rev. Dr. Larrimore Crockett, choir director, and Franz Robert, organist.
Donations of small collectibles handwork, ornaments and jewelry for the Grandmother’s Attic Table at the Apple Pie Festival may be left in the church kitchen. Pie making begins Sept. 30 for the festival on Oct. 13.
Tickets are being sold for the raffle of a Hunter’s Star Quilt, donated to raise funds for the mission trip to Kenya. The drawing will be held at the Apple Pie Festival.
