DUMMERSTON -- Worship at the Dummerston Congregational Church begins at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23. The sermon is "That None Shall Be Lost," based on I Timothy 1: 12-17; Luke 15: 1-10, the Parable of the Lost Sheep. The children’s story is "Blessed and Grateful," the story of Jacob’s Ladder in Genesis 28. Children begin in worship and then go to an open classroom under the direction of Church School Director Billie Slade. Music leadership will be provided Franz Robert, organist.
Donations of small collectibles handwork, ornaments and jewelry for the Grandmother’s Attic Table at the Apple Pie Festival on Oct. 13 may be left in the church kitchen.
Tickets are being sold for the raffle of a Hunter’s Star Quilt, donated to raise funds for the mission trip to Kenya. The drawing will be held at the Apple Pie Festival.
Pie making begins Monday, Sept. 30, 9 a.m. to noon, 4 to 9 p.m. It takes a lot of hands to make 1,500 apple pies. All are welcome to join in this neighborly effort.
