GUILFORD -- Orangutans and Zaccheus, the tax collector, will be celebrated together on Sunday, Sept. 22, at Guilford Community Church as creatures great and small which are part of God’s creation.
The Sunday School will continue with the "What’s So Amazing AboutŠ" series which incorporates scripture and interesting reasons why we need to treasure endangered species. This will culminate on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 4 p.m. with a Blessing of Animals.
The 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, led by Pastor Lise Sparrow, will focus on the human covenant with God to steward the earth and will include choir anthems, "The Lord is My Life" and "Trust and Never Doubt" under the leadership of Tony Barrand. Everyone is welcome. Nursery and childcare will also be provided.
