HINSDALE, N.H. -- The First Congregational Church at 36 Main St. in Hinsdale is celebrating the 250th Anniversary of its founding. Beginning in 1763, it has been serving the physical and spiritual needs of the community.
The culmination of the church’s year-long anniversary celebration will be a Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 5, from noon to 3 p.m. There will be crafts and games for the kids, and caricature artist Mike Sliva will return to draw free caricatures. This will be followed by an organ recital by Permelia Singer Sears from 3 to 4 p.m. The festivities will conclude from 4 to 5 p.m. with church officials from all over the state of New Hampshire re-dedicating the First Congregational Church to the Ministry of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
