BRATTLEBORO -- St. Michael’s Episcopal Church invites the parish and the community to a celebration on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28 and 29, to commemorate the successful close of the church’s capital campaign and the consequent completion of renovations and new construction -- including a new chapel. The 156-year-old church is located on Bradley Avenue, off Putney Road. All events are free and open to the public.
The weekend schedule:
2-4 p.m., Open house with tours of the church, the new chapel and renovations to the church’s home; refreshments.
4 p.m., Presentation of the history of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.
5 p.m., Evensong with Consecration of the Chapel; supper following.
7:30 p.m., Contemplative prayer in the Chapel of Mary Magdalen.
8 a.m., Eucharist.
9 a.m., Forum with Bishop Ely.
10:15 a.m., Festival Eucharist with Confirmations; Festive coffee hour following.
