CHESTERFIELD, N.H. -- The laity leads a powerful service of worship on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m. at Asbury Church of Chesterfield. As opposed to meeting in the sanctuary as is done most Sundays, the congregation will meet in "mission central," the basement portion of church building which not only houses the food pantry, but is the area where most of the church’s mission work takes place.
During this "out of the box" worship celebration, a free showing of the powerful short movie, "The Most," will be offered.
The public is welcome to attend this special worship, as the process of rethinking church is undertaken. Together, Asbury demonstrates its commitment to not only have that holy conversation about what it means to be authentic, relevant, and missional followers of Jesus, but understand how it can support each other as they move through their individual faith journeys.
The church is committed to culture of discernment through Scripture, Reason, Tradition and Experience and all are welcome.
