DUMMERSTON -- Worship at the Dummerston Church this First Sunday in Christmastide will be a carol service with a dramatic story message, "Why the Chimes Rang," from the story by Raymond Macdonald Alden. Children will be in worship with their families for this child-friendly service celebrating the joy of Christmas. Music leadership will be provided by Franz Robert, organist. The church will serve the Overflow Shelter meal on New Year’s Eve, to volunteer or donate, call the church office.

Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, but beginning Jan. 5, worship will start at 10 a.m., January through March. Food for the Drop-In Center Food Bank, warm outdoor clothing and blankets are always needed and may be left in the church entry.

All the generous contributions to the church’s Christmas offerings for those in need are much appreciated.

The church is located in Dummerston Center. Because the church is on the top of a mountain, worship and programs are canceled when driving is treacherous. If worship is canceled for the morning, all events for that day are canceled. Check for cancellations on WTSA. 96.7 FM or 1450 AM or WKVT local news, or contact the church to be added to a calling tree. For more information about this energetic, faithful, friendly and mission-oriented church, contact Pastor Susanna Griefen, 802-257-0544, susanna@griefen.com, or go www.dummerstonchurch.org and Facebook page.
