DUMMERSTON -- Worship at Dummerston Congregational Church continues a sermon series on "The Book of Signs" in the Gospel of John, times when the holy broke into the ordinary. This week the scripture is John 5: 1-18, the healing of the official’s son. The sermon is "What Do We Do With This?" The liturgy will include prayers for Russell and Barry Nutbrown.

The Children’s Story is "What Prayer Can Do." Children begin in worship and then go to the church school program, under the direction of Billie Slade, Church School Coordinator. There will be Bible study after worship on the scripture for next week, John 5: 1-18, the healing of the man with paralysis in the Pool of Bethesda. Music leadership will be provided by Franz Robert, organist.

Non-perishable foods, toiletries, household item, blankets, tents and tarps for the Drop-In Center may be left in the church entry.

Worship is at 10 a.m. January through March. The church is located in Dummerston Center, 1536 Middle Road. Dummerston Congregational Church UCC is a Green Justice Congregation of The United Church of Christ.

Because the church is on the top of a mountain, worship and programs are canceled when driving is treacherous. If worship is canceled, all events for that day are canceled. Check for cancellations at www.WTSA.net or www.WKVT.com, or contact the church to be added to a calling tree.
