BRATTLEBORO -- The Rev. Carra McFadden will lead the 10 a.m. Sunday worship on Jan. 19 at Centre Congregational Church in downtown Brattleboro. Her sermon topic for the Second Sunday after Epiphany is "The One Another Community: Instruct One Another," based on Roman 15:14-21.

The service will be followed by an information dialogue on the Feb. 26 Annual Financial Meeting, led by Jon Potter. The proposed budget booklet will also be available. Fellowship hour will follow in the fireside parlor, and all are welcome.

Christian Huebner, Director of Music, has announced upcoming performances by the choir, supplemented by community members, of Vivaldi’s "Gloria." It will be offered at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, and during worship Sunday, Jan. 26. Michael Mario, Director of Christian Education, leads Kidz Club during worship.

Sunday morning book study group at 9 a.m. is based on "Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life" by Karen Armstrong. Woman Spirit meets Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. in the church library. A spaghetti supper will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, in Memorial Hall to support the youth who will be traveling to the church’s Sister Parish in El Salvador in April.

The January special offering will also support the Luz del Mundo Scholarship, providing scholarships for children of our partner church there.
