BRATTLEBORO -- A performance of Vivaldi’s "Gloria" will highlight this weekend at Centre Congregational Church in downtown Brattleboro, with Christian Huebner and the church choir.
The first performance will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, in the sanctuary, with a suggested donation of $15. The second will be during 10 a.m. worship Sunday. Vocal soloists are Sasha Renee-Daniels, Susan Rowell and Kyra Johnston. The vocalists will be joined by Rob Couchon on organ, Skip Downing on trumpet and Allison Hale on flute.
The Rev. Carra McFadden will offer the sermon titled "The One Another Community: Encourage One Another," based on the text from 1 Thessalonians 5:8 - 11. The Annual Financial Meeting will follow worship, moderated by Council Chair Jon Potter.
The weekly 9 a.m. Sunday book study group is based on Karen Armstrong’s "Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life." Womanspirit meets Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday Night Bible Study meets at 7 p.m. at the home of Gisela Robeck in West Brattleboro.
