BRATTLEBORO -- Michael Mario, Director of Christian Education at Centre Congregational Church in downtown Brattleboro, will preach at the 10 a.m. worship on Sunday, Feb. 2, the Fourth Sunday after Epiphany. His sermon is "Bear One Another’s Burdens" based on Galatians 5:25 - 6:5. Mario will sing as the prelude "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

Christian Huebner, Director of Music and an ordained deacon in the Anglican Church, will officiate at the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Children and teens are invited to worship with their families and will hear a message from Mario. Kidz Club will begin meeting Sunday, Feb. 9, with the theme "Let Your Light Shine." The special offering for the Sundays in February will go to the Overflow Shelter and Morningside Shelter, both in downtown Brattleboro.

The monthly Moment for Peace will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, in the Fireside Parlor, with guest presenter LouAnne Wilson, who will lead "Sacred Circle Dance: an Introduction to Dance as Worship." She has been teaching these circle dances since 1998.

The Board of Mission and Service will host a Poverty Workshop along with other local churches to look at the causes of poverty and create action steps on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Centre Church. Following the workshop interested congregants will be invited to help complete one or more of the action steps.

Loaves and Fishes hot meal site is an ecumenical outreach program at Centre Church providing hot meals in Memorial Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays.
