DUMMERSTON -- Worship at Dummerston Congregational Church on Sunday, Feb. 9, will focus on the Feeding of the Multitudes in John 6. The children’s story is about the boy with five barley loaves and two fish that became enough food for thousands.

Children begin in worship and then go to an open classroom and a program with Billie Slade, Church School Director. The choir will sing under the direction of the Rev. Dr. Larrimore Crockett. Franz Robert is the church organist. There will be a congregational meeting after worship.

Non-perishable foods, toiletries, household item, blankets, tents and tarps for the Drop-In Center may be left in the church entry. The children are rising funds to "Adopt a an orphan elephant," as part of their care for creation. Redeemable bottles may be left at the church or dropped off at the Brattleboro Redemption Center, 693 Putney Road, 802-257-4195, behind the Windham Animal Hospital.

Worship is at 10 a.m. now through March. The church is located in Dummerston Center, 1536 Middle Road, Dummerston. Dummerston Congregational Church UCC is a Green Justice Congregation of The United Church of Christ. Because the church is on a mountain, worship and programs are canceled when driving is treacherous. If worship is canceled, all events for that day are canceled. Check for cancellations at www.WTSA.net or www.WKVT.com and on the church Facebook page or contact the church to be added to a calling tree.
