WEST BRATTLEBORO -- All Souls Unitarian Universalist invites all to worship on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. Guest minister, the Rev. Sandy Daly, will be leading the service. She takes as her topic definitions of the word "authority" which all contain or imply the word "power." We are shaped, guided, restricted, empowered by the "authorities" we encounter: personal, institutional, political, spiritual ... Sometimes authority is imposed; sometimes granted.

John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, suggests four tests of authority: scripture, tradition, experience and reason. Using these lenses, we’ll broaden the view to include various holy texts and traditions. Who or what has power for good in our lives?

The All Souls Choir, under the direction of Ede Thomas, will sing "Distant Land" by John Rutter.

All Souls at the West Village Meeting House is located at 29 South St. across the road up from the West Brattleboro fire station and village green. Nursery care is available.
