BRATTLEBORO -- Paneurhythmy begins with the spring equinox, and even though there may be snow on the ground, participants will venture up the hill at Living Memorial Park to the skating rink parking lot to do this hour-long circle dance. They will meet on the equinox at 8 a.m., Thursday, March 20, and will continue as weather allows on Sundays and Wednesdays until the fall equinox. When the spring is in full force and snow is gone, the dance will be held on a ledge near the top of the hill.
Paneurhyhmy is a sacred dance from Bulgaria, it honors the earth and cosmos while being a healing for the individual dancer, and a moving prayer for the healing of all beings. This dance has been practiced at Living Memorial Park for over 18 years. Rupa Cousins teaches this practice. It is free.
