BRATTLEBORO -- Heidi Carrington Heath of West Dover will be guest preacher at 10 a.m. worship Sunday, March 30, at Centre Congregational Church in downtown Brattleboro.
Heath will be graduating from Andover Newton Theological School, Newton Centre, Mass., in May, with her Master of Divinity degree. She was a seminary intern at Old South Church in Boston and currently serves as adjunct pastor at First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, Keene, N.H. Heath’s sermon Sunday will be "Practice Resurrection," based on the scripture text Mark 5:1-20.
Kidz Club meets with the congregation during the first part of worship, then leaves for the annex to participate in a study of "Miracles" under the leadership of Michael Mario, Director of Christian Education.
Following worship, Leaf Seligman offers a weekly session on "Water from the Rock: Writing Towards Freedom, Meaning and Connection." At 5:30 p.m. each Thursday during Lent, Christian Huebner, Director of Music, will offer a Lenten study called "The Way of the Cross: Faith and Theology through Hymns Ancient and Modern," followed by a light supper and choir rehearsal at 7 p.m. All are welcome.
The Special Offering for March will benefit One Great Hour of Sharing, which provides disaster relief, refugee assistance and development aid for those in need around the world.
