CHESTERFIELD, N.H. -- This Sunday, Asbury Church celebrates Pentecost, the birthday of the church. Many remember this day by both wearing red and hearing the story of the early days of the church. The Bible teaches that the Jewish feasts and celebrations were a shadow of the things to come with and through Christ. Holding these words to be true, nowhere is that truth more evident and the lessons more valuable than in the collective remembrance of Pentecost.

This Sunday, at 10 a.m., Asbury Church will attempt to step into the shoes of those who experienced it by trying to wrap our arms around the pulse of Jerusalem that morning so long ago, and hear the truth that lies between the lines and beneath our celebration.

Asbury is a progressive, and welcoming church committed to becoming the face of faith to our community. As we invite all, we remind our community that we are an easy and short drive from Keene, Brattleboro, and Massachusetts and as such see folks from all over the region each Sunday. Service begins at 10 a.m. and a period of fellowship and free refreshments follow our worship. For more details on our service or who we are, visit www.chesterfieldumc.org.
