BRATTLEBORO -- Putney resident Dana Shepard, who has been competing at Monadnock Speedway for years, will drive in the North East Mini Stock Tour race on Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H.
On Sunday at the Magic Mile, a 20-minute opening practice session will begin at 9 a.m., a 30-minute final practice session and qualifying are scheduled for noon, and the feature line-up will be posted at 1 p.m. A 12-lap B feature will be held at 5:15 p.m. and the 25-lap main event will follow.
Emerson Cayer won the last NEMST race, which took place on July 21 at Star Speedway in Epping, N.H. Rounding out the top five were Justin Larsen, Dave Helliwell, Nick Anderson and Mike Viens.
Toby Wells currently leads the NEMST standings with 508 points. He is followed by Cayer (505), Anderson (440), Larsen (428) and Joe Baxter (370).
Shepard is listed in 13th position in the Mini Stocks division at Monadnock Speedway. Other area drivers competing on the Winchester, N.H. oval are: Alyssa Rivera of Bellows Falls; Solomon Brow, Hillary Renaud and Pat Houle of Vernon; Dick Houle of Brattleboro; and Guilford’s Chris LaFlam and Jessica LaFlam.
