CHESTERFIELD, N.H. -- In an often forgotten section of our Bible, we are introduced to the incredibly spellbinding story of two women named Naomi and Ruth. For those who know of their story, they can attest that it’s not only heartbreaking, but reminds us of the risqué stories we might hear in soap operas or on cable TV. Yet, deep between the lines, the story sings of incredible beauty, redemption, hope and resolve. It also teaches us about a ancient concept and practice called "chesed," which should be the call of all people of faith.

This Sunday, at 10 a.m., we retell story of Ruth and Naomi as only Asbury Church can. Through this retelling we hope to hear their much needed example of love, and learn how this ancient tale can provide something for us today as well.

Asbury Church is a welcoming and progressive congregation, dedicated to creating an environment where together we can ask what it means to be a relevant and authentic community of faith.
