VERNON -- Arianna Harrison of Vernon has returned with gold in hand after competing as a member of the elite Mass. Frenzy Basketball Team in the College Showcase Tournament at the National Girls Basketball Tournament held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL in July.

Harrison to her teammates and friends is an incoming junior at Brattleboro Union High School and has been playing AAU hoops since fifth grade. Harrison said she plans to bring what she learned from Frenzy to BUHS.

Last year, her season was cut short due to an injury. "I was anxious to return to the court for BUHS and hunt for a state title," said Harrison. "I will do all I can to make that happen."

It was a tough and grueling nine days of competition during the national tournament. Beginning on Friday, July 8, Frenzy swept Vermont tournament play, which was held at St. Michael’s college in Colchester. Each day the team played at least two games per outting.
