WINDSOR -- Zach Rawling scored on touchdown runs of eight, 40 and 62 yards to help the Bellows Falls football team to a 51-14 rout of Windsor on Saturday at MacLeay-Royce Field. The Terriers now hold a 15-4 edge in the Perkins Trophy Game series.

Bellows Falls raced out to a 39-7 halftime lead. All three of Rawling’s scores came in the first two quarters, along with a 32-yard fumble recovery to the house by Kyle Reeves, a 10-yard rushing touchdown from Carson Fullam, and Ethan Illingworth’s scoring strike to Mike LeBeau.

In the second half, Illingworth reached paydirt on a quarterback keeper and Fullam found the end zone once again.

The Division 3 Yellowjackets dropped to 1-3 overall. The Division 2 Terriers (3-1) will host U-32 on Saturday at 1 p.m.

In other Vermont high school games on Saturday, CVU sunk St. Johnsbury 22-7, Poultney powered past Fair Haven 55-34, MSJ outdueled Montpelier 58-36, Mill River topped Mount Abraham 40-34 in overtime, and BFA-Fairfax clobbered Oxbow 41-0.

Bellows Falls 2, MAU 0

BENNINGTON -- Quinn Lawrence made two saves for the shutout and her Terriers improved to 4-0 overall.

"The girls worked really hard," said Bellows Falls coach Bethany Coursen, whose team will host Fair Haven today at 4 p.m.

Mariah Barnett and Cassidy Santorelli each split the posts for the winners. Sarah Wells was credited with two assists.

Calvary Christian 3, Hinsdale 1

HINSDALE, N.H. -- Allison Scott scored with seven minutes remaining to pull the Pacers even, before their foes tallied twice down the stretch to win it. Amy Yannizze anchored the Hinsdale defense according to coach Drew Arsenault. The Pacers dropped to 0-6.

Cross Country

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- The Hinsdale teams competed at the Manchester Invite at Derryfield Park. The top performer for the girls’ team was Roxy Toussaint, who ran the 5k course in 22:22 to come in 27th place out of 285 girls in her race. Tanner Nichols was the top boy for the Pacers in 19:01. He placed 73rd out of 347 runners in his race.

"This was a good experience that prepared us for the State Championship meet which will be held on Oct. 27 on the same course. Yesterday was all about racing on a tough course against a huge field of runners. The entire team will be looking to improve in October," noted Hinsdale coach Glenn Hammett.

The Pacers will host a meet on Oct. 4.
